US Youth Soccer Appoints Mike Fletcher as Head of Marketing & Communications

FRISCO, Texas (April 8, 2019) US Youth Soccer, the largest youth sport organization in the country, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Fletcher to the position of Sr. Director of Marketing & Communications. Fletcher brings extensive experience in the areas of marketing, communications, media, event activation and sponsorship sales and engagement.
 
Most recently, Fletcher served 7 years as Director of Global Promotions, Partnerships and Live ExperiFletcher_Headshot_b_wences at Hasbro, Inc., one of the largest toy and entertainment companies in the world. There, he oversaw partnerships with a diverse array of companies, including McDonald’s, Duracell, PepsiCo and Carnival Cruise Lines.
 
“I am excited about the contributions that Mike will make to US Youth Soccer’s overall marketing, communications and sponsorship efforts – all of which are critical in creating a unique value proposition for our Member State Associations, clubs, leagues, teams, players and coaches,” said Chris Moore, CEO of US Youth Soccer. “US Youth Soccer recently underwent a significant rebranding initiative and Mike will now be the guardian of our new brand, particularly as we look to showcase our national and regional events, create a path for every player and make soccer the preeminent youth sport in our country.”
 
Prior to Hasbro, Flercher  managed various Burger King Corporation entertainment partnerships including those with Disney, Microsoft, Paramount, NASCAR and the NFL. Additionally, Fletcher led Burger King’s Youth and Family marketing business including Kids Meal product development, toy promotions, movie/entertainment tie-ins, and the like. He also supervised numerous product advertising productions when BK was named by Adweek as “Advertiser of the Decade.”
 
Prior to Burger King, Fletcher spent years working for large advertising and marketing communications agencies, including J. Walter Thompson (now Wunderman Thompson).
 
Fletcher holds an M.B.A. from the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business and a B.A. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
