Primary Duties:
- Ensure that U.S. Soccer’s player development philosophy is being implemented within all aspects of the CUP DA program
- Utilize a player centric approach to contribute to elite player development
- Meticulous preparation for training and matches with individual player development as the priority
- Actively identify talent (Local Leagues, Local Tournaments, Training Centers, etc.) and develop an expert understanding of the applicable scouting profiles based on age and position
- Make player selections that account for a player’s current and potential ability
- Follow the DA age appropriate annual training plan.
- Adhere to all established Development Academy and Utah Royals DA processes and protocols
- Provide detailed reports on individual players and team performance for continuous personal growth as well as for TA or National Team coach submission
- Contribute to the other sporting and professional moments within the club (futsal, camps, courses, events, meetings, media, etc.) as assigned
- Positively contribute to the individual growth as young women using the sport of soccer as the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with parents, players, and staff
- Attend Weekly DA Meeting
- Report to the Academy Director
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. Soccer A or B License or UEFA equivalent
- Strong knowledge of elite youth player development including international standards and strategies
- Track record of developing individual players to an elite level
- Prior experience coaching at the relevant age level within a top club
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize work
- Committed to working a non-traditional work schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
- Elite Futsal teaching and methodologies
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Ability to comprehend and integrate technology, video, data analysis, and sports science into training and match preparation
- Experience in Social Media; ex: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc....
