East Region Boys Coaches 

Bryan Harkin is the 2002 Boys Head Coach. He just completed his second season as the Men's Soccer Head Coach at Emerson College. Prior to this position, he was an assistant coach at Tufts University where he helped guide the team to a Division III National Championship title in 2014 and 2016. Harkin's played professionally for USL Second Division's Crystal Palace Baltimore FC and USL's Wilmington Hammerheads. 

Trajano Bastidas will serve as the 2002 Boys Assistant Coach. He enters his ninth season on the US Youth Soccer ODP East Region staff and he holds his USSF National "A" License. 

John Szaro is the 2002 Boys Goalkeeper Coach. Previously served as a college coach for American University, Adelphi University, and Hofstra University. 

Todd West is the 2003 Boys Head Coach. He just completed his 19th and final season as the Men's Soccer Head Coach at American University. During his time at American University, he amassed 164 wins and captured the Patriot League Regular Season Championship seven times. 

Ralph Pascarella will serve as the 2003 Boys Assistant Coach. He has served as an US Youth Soccer ODP coach at the state and regional level for more than 25 years. 

Craig Jones is the 2004 Boys Head Coach. This fall he will be entering his eighth season as the Men's Soccer Head Coach at George Washington University. He has guided his teams to a winning record in three of the past four years and the Atlantic 10 regular season championship in 2015. 

Paulo Neto  will serve as the 2004 Boys Assistant Coach. He  previously served as PA West  Assistant Technical Director and Head Coach at St Francis University. Paulo coached for Baton Rouge Capitals (PDL) and Gulf Coast Texas (NPSL) and Knoxville Force (NPSL).  He also played youth at Fluminese FC and SC Corinthians and played pro for Cincinnati Kings (USL).  Paulo holds a USSF National "A" and USSF National Youth License.


Gordon Miller is the 2005 Boys Head Coach. He is currently the Virginia Youth Soccer Association Technical Director and he holds his USSF National "A" and Canadian Soccer "A" Licenses. He was previously an assistant coach for the U-17 Canadian National Team and he played professionally in the North American Soccer League. 

Craig Stone will serve as the 2005 Boys Assistant Coach. He has coached at the US Youth Soccer ODP state and regional level for more than 10 years. 

Jose Rebay is the 2006 Boys Head Coach. A U.S. Soccer Scout, Rebay has served as an ODP coach since 2007. He holds his USSF National "A" License and he was a US Youth Soccer National League champion in 2015 and US Youth Soccer National Championship runner-up in 2016. 

Manfred Kapper, a former member of the Austrian National Team, will serve as the 2006 Boys Assistant Coach. He played professionally for Austrian side FC Admira Wacker and he holds his USSF National "A" License and EUFA "B" License. 

Rick Meana is the 2007 Boys Head Coach. He is currently the New Jersey Youth Soccer Director of Coaching and a US Youth Soccer National Instructor. 

Mike Kleinert is the 2007 Boys Assistant Coach. He was previously the Delaware Youth Soccer Association Technical Director and he has served as an ODP coach since 2010.
