The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Players of the Month

Each month, we will be recognizing one male and one female US Youth Soccer Player of the Month!

The players who are selected will represent a balance of athletic achievement, sportsmanship and citizenship. Examples of these characteristics include:

  • Impactful or notable in-game performance
  • Displays good sportsmanship and the promotion of teamwork
  • Community service
  • Superior academic achievement
  • Overcoming personal obstacles

While great performances in the game of soccer are appreciated, it's important to note that accomplishments off the field are valued just as much as those achieved on the field. Nominate a player today!

This month's honorees are...

Female Player of the Month

f-17-65-6653354_Andrea1

Andrea from La Habra, Calif.

Andrea’s club team just won the fall 2018 league with an impressive unbeaten 14-0 season, where she demonstrated sportsmanship and team work in every game. Besides playing on two teams, dancing, and working hard at school at this young age, Andrea volunteers one hour per week helping her coach run drills and refereeing younger recreational teams. The most impressive quality about Andrea is that she is very humble about her accomplishments, never mentioning any victories to her friends at home or at school and everyone loves her company.

Male Player of the Month

ethan

Ethan from Wallkill, N.Y.

While playing for his Premier team, Ethan has maintained straight A’s in school. Ethan was recently accepted into the SNAP program for his school district which is a program for the gifted and talented. On the field, Ethan demonstrates leadership among his teammates and is often the example with his work ethic and soccer acumen. Ethan , at the age of 11, spends Saturday mornings refereeing soccer games for the local Rec Soccer Club. Ethan is already establishing himself as a role model for peers and for younger kids both academically and athletically.
