The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Districts compete once or twice per year against the other districts in tournaments hosted by USYSE ODP program staff.  These tournaments are an opportunity for the Districts to showcase their programs and compete against the other Districts, and it is another opportunity for the USYSE ODP staff to identify players for the USYSE ODP.  Currently, there is a late spring outdoor tournament (USYS Europe World Cup) and a Winter/Spring indoor futsal tournament (USYS Indoor Cup).

USYS Europe – International Tournaments

US Youth Soccer Indoor Cup: February 15 - 16, 2020 (Germany)

US Youth Soccer World Cup: June 6 - 7, 2020 (Germany)

Many American players in Europe do not live near a USYS District (i.e. within 30+ miles).  These players are granted permission to register directly with USYSE ODP if they possess the skills and talent for USYSE ODP.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT CAMPS
USYSE ODP schedules 4-6 training/development camps each season, and it is important that selected players and their parents commit to these camps.  The camps are intense training camps aimed to enhance each player’s individual development, to create competitive teams for international tournaments, and to select players to represent USYSE ODP at the Regional camps.  At each camp, internationally friendlies are schedule on the last day, and parents are invited to watch.  The rest of the training during the camps are closed to parents.

Players are selected for the USYSE ODP pool.  The best players from the pool are selected for the camps. USYSE ODP staff (boys/girls administrators) will coordinate directly with players/parents. The training camps are the primary means of selection of players for the ODP international tournament teams and the Regional trial camps. The coaches and the Director of Coaching are watching the progress of the players throughout the season and they are responsible for the selection of any players for the regional pools.

PAYMENT:
USYSE ODP makes every effort to ensure all camps are affordable. Each camp typically costs 275 Euro per player Payments are normally due three (3) weeks prior to camp start. If payments are not received, the invitation will be offered to another player from the ODP pool.  Reimbursements (partial or full), are granted if players are unable to attend due to injury or illness proofed with a doctor’s note. No partial payment for players that only attend part of the training camp.

The payment policy is strictly enforced to ensure the USYSE ODP is not needlessly left covering unused, non-cancellable reservations.

Security at Camps:
USYSE ODP is committed to the safety of our players. Strict rules (off the field) and curfews are established and strictly enforced for each camp. All camp staff, coaches, and chaperones are aware of the safety procedures and conduct routine checks of the players.  Chaperones are volunteers (normally parents of players that attend the camp and stay free of charge at a camp). USYSE ODP has a ratio of 1:12 (chaperone to player) for the 13U and older players, and 1:10 for 11U and younger players. Photos are taken of our players throughout the camps and posted to the website. Parents must be willing to sign a release that allows pictures of their players to be posted to the website.
