FWRL Northwest | About

The Far West Regional League Northwest Division is comprised of the top teams from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia, Canada. The league will have competition in the 13U through 19U Boys and Girls age groups. Each state association will determine how their teams earn an automatic spot in the FWRL Northwest. Additional qualifiers may be selected based on application by the FWRL Northwest Trustees.

Champions from each gender age group of the FWRL Northwest will earn an automatic spot in the US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships, part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, the oldest and most recognized youth soccer national championship competition. The FWRL Northwest champions will join the top two finishers from the FWRL California Division, the champion of the FWRL Desert Premier Division and 12 State Cup champions from teh Western Region at the Far West Regional Championships.

FWRL Northwest teams have the opportunity to be selected for the prestigious US Youth Soccer National League, and champions in specified age groups receive an automatic spot in the National League the following season.

2017-2018 Automatic Qualifiers:

Idaho (1) - Idaho Youth Soccer State Cup champion

Oregon (3) - Oregon Youth Soccer State Cup champion and top two finishers in the Timbers/Thorns Premier League

Washington (4) - Washington Youth Soccer State Cup champion and top three finishers in the Regional Club League

Alaska - Selection by FWRL Northwest Trustees

Montana - Selection by FWRL Northwest Trustees

Canada - Selection by FWRL Northwest Trustees
